FARPOINT 40 – Osprey

Osprey’s Farpoint 40 L

The Osprey’s Farpoint 40 is perfect for you, whether you’re a forest girl or the prince of selfies. The LightWire ™ suspension transfers the weight from the suspenders to the waistband, allowing you to snap ‘em while watching your friends sweat dragging their suitcases.

P.S. With the ventilated mesh panel, you don’t have to worry about smelling like them!

The perfect travel backpack

The Farpoint 40 has the ideal dimensions for a carry-on pack. It can get on the plane and stay with you at all times. It’s great if you don’t want to find your laptop in pieces inside it because a porter treated your backpack like a punching bag. There is no more need to waste time at the luggage carousel, which is perfect when you have several flights to make!

The main compartment

The main compartment is easily accessible with a zipper that opens over the entire length of the pack. It is useful to fit the pile of dirty laundry at the bottom of the bag, just before your return flight. Plus, the zippers can be locked with a padlock. Very helpful when it comes to avoid the theft of souvenir gifts that are squeezed in the dirty laundry. Being in the web era, the inner mesh pocket is perfect for small electronic items. And, as if it was not already enough, the two compression straps prevent the loading from moving. So, unless you throw your backpack out the second floor window, no risk of anything moving!

The pocket, pockets, and pouches!

On the outside of the pack, you will find another zippered pocket on the front panel; A.K.A. the “small pocket”. The “small pocket” also opens up the whole length of the pack to facilitate organization. Inside, there is a mesh pouch, a padded and closed compartment with velcro, and a secondary compartment. In addition to the “small pocket”, the Osprey Farpoint 40 also has the “pocket on top”! Smaller, it’s exactly what you need to store your keys, your cell phone, the bag’s strap and your wallet.

Straps, shoulder straps, suspension and belt

With the Straightjacket™ compression straps that stabilize the weight of all the stuff in your backpack, you have a lot more chances of getting hurt by the excess weight charges at the airport than by the weight in your pack!  The padded handles on top and on the side make it easy to load your bag on a bus, a plane, or your mom’s tercel.

The suspension and shoulder straps can be stowed and camouflaged under a zippered panel to facilitate transport and protect them from unpleasant baggage handlers who throw your bag without hesitation.

Sturdy fabrics in wear-prone areas are combined with a clever design to create a lightweight and durable travel backpack.
